A chilling threat against President Donald Trump has landed a 50-year-old Indiana woman in federal custody—and the details are disturbing.

Nathalie Rose Jones of Lafayette is facing federal charges after allegedly posting violent threats online, including one where she claimed she wanted to “disembowel” the president. Authorities say her posts went beyond social media venting, prompting the Secret Service to step in immediately.

U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro emphasized the seriousness of the situation:

“Threatening the life of the President is one of the most serious crimes and one that will be met with swift and unwavering prosecution. Make no mistake—justice will be served.”

The Secret Service confirmed that they began monitoring Jones after discovering her Instagram account “nath.jones” posting threats against Trump from August 2 to August 9. On Facebook, the alleged threats continued between August 6 and August 15, with Jones describing Trump as a “terrorist” and his administration as a “dictatorship” responsible for extreme loss of life during the coronavirus pandemic.

One particularly graphic post on August 6 read:

“I am willing to sacrificially kill this POTUS by disemboweling him and cutting out his trachea with Liz Cheney and all the Affirmation present.”

In another post, directed to Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth on August 14, Jones demanded:

“Please arrange the arrest and removal ceremony of POTUS Trump as a terrorist on the American People from 10-2 pm at the White House on Saturday, August 16th, 2025.”

During interviews with Secret Service agents, Jones admitted to making the threats and described Trump as a “terrorist” and “nazi.” She also revealed that she had a “bladed object” she considered her weapon for what she called her “mission” to kill the president, claiming she wanted to avenge lives lost during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Despite attending a protest near the White House on August 16 and again confirming her posts to agents, Jones reportedly denied having any present intent to act on her threats.

Special Agent in Charge Matt McCool underlined the Secret Service’s vigilance:

“Protecting the President of the United States is our highest priority, and every potential threat is addressed with the utmost seriousness.”

Jones now faces federal charges as prosecutors pursue the case, leaving a stark reminder of how quickly online rhetoric can escalate into federal action.
