WEF Calls to Ban Cars and Single-Family Homes Spark Global Outrage
Share This:

Imagine a world where you don’t own your car, your house, or even your gadgets—where every basic possession is rented, shared, or controlled by unelected elites. That dystopian vision is no longer hypothetical. It’s being openly promoted by the World Economic Forum.

Elites Push Radical “Sharing” Agenda

Just days after BlackRock CEO Larry Fink was named interim co-chair of the WEF, footage surfaced of Danish politician and WEF agenda contributor Ida Auken advocating for a sweeping ban on personal property.

“If you can get people to share a car, you can take out a lot of cars in the streets,” Auken said, describing a world where neighbors swap vehicles through smartphone apps without ever meeting. “It’s much easier and much more fun to share.”

Her comments echo the WEF’s infamous 2016 mantra: “You’ll own nothing and be happy.” Critics now warn this is part of a broader attempt by global elites to strip citizens of basic ownership rights under the guise of sustainability.

The WEF’s “Reasoning”

According to the WEF, reducing private ownership will conserve critical minerals like cobalt, lithium, and nickel—materials essential for electric vehicles, wind turbines, and other green technologies. The Forum argues that sharing vehicles and electronics could dramatically cut resource use:

  • Cars in England are reportedly driven only 4% of the time, making widespread sharing seem “efficient.”
  • Extending the lifespan of devices like smartphones could reduce carbon footprints by 31%.

However, the plan overlooks practical realities. In many countries, personal vehicles aren’t luxuries—they’re necessities, especially in rural and suburban areas. And “sharing everything” would require near-constant surveillance and corporate control over access.

Power in the Hands of Elites

With Larry Fink leading one of the world’s most powerful financial institutions now at the helm of the WEF, critics fear accelerated moves toward eliminating private ownership. Under these proposals, ordinary people lose autonomy while elites gain unprecedented control over access to homes, cars, electronics, and daily necessities.

What’s being framed as “sustainable” and “resource efficient” could, in practice, become a top-down system that dictates every aspect of life—leaving the public dependent and powerless.
