These events bring together a panel of self-proclaimed experts who dispense their wisdom and expertise with absolutely no scientific evidence to back it up. Because clearly, someone who managed to beat their own mental health issues must be qualified to solve everyone else’s. Just one read, and you’ll be jumping for joy, cured of all your troubles!

But wait, there’s more! We now have employers organizing mandatory mindfulness sessions in the workplace, because clearly, taking a few deep breaths will magically solve all your problems. Who needs a supportive work environment or actual mental health care coverage when you can just sit in a circle, close your eyes, and pretend everything is fantastic?
