In a startling revelation, Dr. Anthony Fauci has admitted that the elite did not follow the same “pointless COVID rules” imposed on the general public. This admission came during a leaked transcript of his testimony given in January, just days before his much-anticipated public appearance set for Monday.
The Revelations from Fauci’s Testimony
Dr. Fauci, speaking to the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic, confessed that the six-foot social distancing rule “sort of just appeared” and he couldn’t recall how it came about. He admitted, “I don’t recall. It sort of just appeared,” when pressed on the origins of the rule, according to committee transcripts.
Fauci further stated that he was “not aware of studies” supporting the social distancing measures, conceding that such studies would be “very difficult” to conduct. This revelation casts a shadow over the rationale behind one of the most stringent COVID-19 restrictions.

Masking Children: A Questionable Measure
When questioned about the efficacy of masking children to prevent COVID-19, Fauci admitted he did not recall reviewing any studies or data supporting this measure. “I might have,” he responded, adding, “but I don’t recall specifically that I did.” This admission is particularly troubling given the widespread implementation of mask mandates in schools across the country.
Fauci also confessed that he had not followed up on studies regarding the impacts of forced mask-wearing on children. When asked whether masking kids was a solid way to prevent transmission, he replied with an ironic pun, “I still think that’s up in the air.”
The Lab Leak Theory: A Possibility
Dr. Fauci’s testimony also touched upon the controversial lab leak theory, which posits that COVID-19 originated from the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV). Fauci acknowledged that the lab leak theory is a “real possibility.” He stated, “I think people have made conspiracy aspects from it,” adding, “it could be a lab leak.”
This admission is significant as it comes four years after Fauci supported the publication of a paper that downplayed the lab leak theory, titled the “Proximal Origin” paper.
Uncovering Hidden Communications and Conflicts of Interest
The coronavirus committee has spent months investigating the origins of the virus, which has claimed the lives of 6 million people worldwide. Recent discoveries revealed that Fauci’s former top aide, Dr. David Morens, conducted work on his personal email account and deleted files to evade government transparency laws under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA).
Morens boasted in emails to colleagues about making official correspondence “disappear” and deleting things he didn’t “want to see in the New York Times.” The committee’s investigation also uncovered that Morens had a “secret back channel” to Fauci, allowing clandestine communication.

The Mismanagement of Grants
In his January testimony, Fauci admitted he “never” looks at the grants he signed off on, some of which totaled millions of taxpayer dollars. “Technically, I sign off on each council, but I don’t see the grants and what they are. I never look at what grants are there,” he told the committee’s counsel.
Moreover, Fauci admitted he was “not certain” that foreign labs receiving U.S. grant money, such as the WIV, operated at the same standards as American labs. He also stated that the NIAID grant money did not undergo any national security reviews.
The Implications of Conflicts of Interest
Dr. Fauci claimed to be unaware of any conflicts of interest among his staff, including his senior advisor, Dr. Morens. However, Morens testified that he assisted his “best friend,” EcoHealth Alliance President Dr. Peter Daszak, with his nonprofit’s work. This included editing press releases and restoring grant funding for EcoHealth after it was terminated in the wake of the COVID outbreak in 2020. The NIH, where Morens is employed, funded EcoHealth with millions of dollars.
What Lies Ahead
The committee is expected to seek further clarification on Fauci and Morens’ “secret back channel” of communication during the June 3 hearing. These revelations raise serious questions about the transparency and integrity of the decision-making processes during the pandemic.
As we await more details from Fauci’s upcoming public testimony, it is clear that these admissions have already sparked significant controversy and will likely continue to fuel debates about the handling of the COVID-19 pandemic and the actions of those in positions of power.
