It didn’t come with tanks or troops. No paratroopers dropped from the sky. No shots fired, no headlines screaming invasion. But something happened. Quietly. Subtly. And it should send a chill down the spine of every Canadian who still believes this country belongs to us.
Mark Carney, the so-called economic wunderkind and potential Liberal golden boy, made a move that has many scratching their heads — and others sounding the alarm. He dropped Canadian tariffs on U.S. goods. Just… dropped them. No fight. No negotiation. No strategic trade-off. One stroke of the pen, and American corporations got a front-row seat at the Canadian buffet.
And it doesn’t stop there.
Carney’s refusal to support the development of critical pipelines — infrastructure that could fuel our energy independence and economic growth — plays straight into the hands of American interests. The U.S. wins again, keeping Canadian oil landlocked and discounted, while they rake in the profits and energy dominance.
Ask yourself: Who benefits from these decisions? Because it’s sure not everyday Canadians. It’s not the workers in Alberta, the manufacturers in Ontario, or the struggling families paying more for less.
This isn’t leadership. It’s capitulation with a smile.
And what do we get in return? Nothing but a polite pat on the head and the unspoken understanding that our sovereignty comes second to American convenience.
You can call it diplomacy. You can call it pragmatism. But if it looks like a puppet and acts like a puppet… well, you know the rest.
Carney may wear a Canadian flag on his lapel, but his playbook seems made in Washington. The question now is simple: Is this man serving Canadians — or serving someone else’s agenda?
And maybe the scarier question: Did Trump just get his 51st state without even asking for it?
