Blood stained the pews of Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis this week. Children were screaming. Parents were running. And before the candles had even burned out, Rosie O’Donnell was on TikTok pointing the finger — not at the killer, but at Donald Trump supporters.
In her video, the former talk show host declared the transgender-identifying gunman, Robert “Robin” Westman, was a “Republican MAGA person” and a “white supremacist.” The problem? None of it was true.
Court records, social media posts, and Westman’s own chilling manifesto reveal a very different picture: an anti-Trump, anti-Christian, deeply disturbed individual who openly admitted to being “brainwashed” by radical gender ideology. Hours before storming into the Catholic church with multiple firearms, Westman posted “Kill Donald Trump” online and fantasized about massacres like Sandy Hook.
Yet O’Donnell and other voices on the left twisted the narrative, shifting blame onto political enemies while ignoring the shooter’s own disturbing confession: “I know I am not a woman, but I definitely don’t feel like a man.”
Two children — eight-year-old Fletcher Merkel and ten-year-old Harper Moyski — are dead. Fourteen more kids were shot, along with several adults. But instead of confronting the uncomfortable truth about ideology, mental illness, and anti-Christian hatred, activists and politicians rushed to turn the tragedy into a talking point.
Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey even sneered at grieving Catholics, dismissing prayer by saying, “Don’t say this is about ‘thoughts and prayers’ right now — these kids were literally praying.”
Meanwhile, the families of the victims are left shattered, their children gunned down in a place of worship.
Rosie O’Donnell’s false claims may earn her clicks on TikTok, but they do nothing to bring back the lives lost — and nothing to stop the next tragedy. The question is: how many more communities will pay the price while America’s culture war blinds us from the truth?
