The war of words in American politics just went nuclear. Texas Democrat Rep. Jasmine Crockett has taken her attacks on Donald Trump and his supporters to an entirely new level—branding tens of millions of Americans “the most unpatriotic people” in the country.
Her explosive remarks came during a podcast with California Governor Gavin Newsom, where she accused Trump of manipulating every institution in government for his own gain—from the courts to Congress. Crockett claimed that Democrats, not Trump’s movement, are the true defenders of the Constitution.
“You can wave all the flags you want,” she declared, “but I am telling you right now that the most unpatriotic people we have in this country are MAGA and this president. We are the real patriots, and it is time for us to take our flag back and show people what America is about.”
A Direct Hit on Trump and His Base
Crockett didn’t stop at Trump himself—she aimed squarely at his supporters, accusing them of helping “decimate” the Constitution, disrespect the troops, and strip away freedoms.
“You can’t say that you love the Constitution while decimating it with every single stroke of a pen for an executive order,” she said. “You can’t claim to respect our troops while using them as tools to take away Americans’ freedoms.”
Her comments are the latest in a string of fiery broadsides against the 45th president. She’s previously called Trump a “piece of s—,” labeled his backers “sick,” and even claimed the country faces a “mental health crisis” because too many Americans still support him.
The White House Fires Back
The Trump administration wasted no time in blasting back. Assistant Press Secretary Liz Huston issued a statement, defending both the president and his loyal base:
“President Trump is the leader of the greatest and most patriotic political movement in history.”
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt went further, mocking Crockett’s standing in national politics: “The last time I checked, Jasmine Crockett couldn’t dream of winning such a majority of the public as President Trump did.”
A Political Powder Keg
Crockett, however, shows no signs of backing down. She has emerged as one of the loudest Democratic voices railing against Trump as he barrels toward 2025 with his movement intact and his political dominance undimmed.
Her rhetoric raises a dangerous question: when a sitting member of Congress brands millions of Americans “unpatriotic,” what happens to the already fractured state of the nation?
For Trump supporters, it’s another example of Democrats demonizing them. For Crockett and her allies, it’s a battle cry.
Either way, the fight for the soul of America just got a lot uglier.
