Imagine sending your child to school and discovering that the classroom has become a theater for adult self-expression. That’s exactly what a concerned parent from Stroud recently described at @KLB_school. Last year a male teacher told students to call him “Foster” because he identified as non-binary—discarding traditional titles like Mr or even Mx. This year he returned wearing a dress insisting on “Miss Foster.”
For most kids it’s just plain confusing and even ridiculous. But the bigger question is alarming: how did we get to a point where adults are allowed to project personal desires in front of impressionable students without oversight? Are schools meant to nurture learning and stability or have they become playgrounds for adult agendas?
The implications go beyond one classroom. Children are at a critical stage of development where clarity guidance and safety are essential. When boundaries blur between personal identity and professional responsibility it isn’t just confusing it’s potentially harmful. The debate is now urgent—should schools set firm limits to protect children or continue bending to adult whims?
