Remember when the Liberals insisted on delaying the election for Diwali?
They claimed it was out of “respect”—said holding an election during a religious holiday would be exclusionary, insensitive, unfair.
They made it sound noble.
Reasonable, even.
But then—snap!—a surprise election is called, and polling stations open up right over Easter weekend.
No warning. No apologies. No explanations.
Just lines of people trying to vote between church services and family dinners.
So… what happened to that respectful tone? What about fairness and inclusivity?
Gone. Like smoke in the wind.
Because the truth is, it was never about Diwali.
It was never about respect.
It was about control.
They weaponize compassion when it’s convenient—turn holidays into shields and excuses when it suits the narrative.
Then, with the same breath, they bulldoze through traditions and values that don’t align with their plans.
It’s not hypocrisy.
It’s strategy.
And they count on you forgetting.
Easter didn’t matter to them.
Neither did Diwali, if we’re being honest.
What matters is staying in power, whatever it takes—and masking the manipulation with flowery language and moral-sounding logic.
This wasn’t just a scheduling oversight.
It was a calculated test of public memory, of how quickly we’ll shrug off contradiction.
How easily we’ll swallow the next excuse.
And the next one.
Because once you start excusing the rot, it spreads.
It infects everything.
And by the time people wake up, it’s too late.
They’ve already voted for the infection.
