They promised freedom. They promised abundance. Instead, what’s being built behind closed doors looks more like a digital cage—an old ideology dressed up in shiny new technology.
Technocracy, once dismissed as a failed 1930s experiment, is making a comeback. And this time, the architects of control have the tools—AI, digital ID systems, energy credits, and social credit scores—to make it work.
The recent Technocracy Roundtable, featuring Patrick Wood, Aaron Day, Craig Wenclewicz, and Courtenay Turner, pulled back the curtain on what this agenda really means. And if they’re right, the future being engineered for us isn’t just unrecognizable—it’s terrifying.
What Is Technocracy, Really?
Contrary to what many assume, technocracy isn’t just about technology. According to its own founding documents, technocracy is “the science of social engineering,” designed to eliminate politics, private property, and traditional finance. Instead, everything—goods, services, and even personal freedoms—would be distributed through a central authority using “energy credits.”
In plain English? It’s about replacing the free market with a managed system where you own nothing, inherit nothing, and exist entirely at the mercy of technocrats.
Back in the 1930s, Americans rejected this vision. They saw it for what it was: a totalitarian system that stripped away wealth, liberty, and dignity. But today, thanks to AI and global digital platforms, the technocrats finally have the tools to try again.
Elon Musk and the Technocracy Blueprint
It isn’t conspiracy theory to point out that Elon Musk’s own grandfather was a head of Technocracy Inc. in Canada. Fast forward to today, Musk openly advocates for “universal high income” and has described Mars as a “technocracy.”
His “everything app” X looks eerily like the foundation of a Western version of China’s social credit system—digital IDs, integrated payments (possibly a stablecoin or CBDC), and behavior-linked access to goods and services.
Coincidence? Or continuity?
The Social Credit Trap
Universal Basic Income (UBI) sounds compassionate. But as Turner explained during the Roundtable, it’s not what people think. It won’t be equal. It will be conditional.
Comply with rules, programs, and laws? You’ll receive your digital credits. Step out of line? Your access to food, housing, healthcare, and even mobility could be slashed. It’s a control system disguised as generosity.
A Spiritual and Ethical Battle
Wenclewicz and Turner both warned that technocracy isn’t just a political or economic threat—it’s a spiritual one. By stripping away human dignity, choice, and even faith, technocracy seeks to replace the divine order with a machine order.
The technocrats believe they know better than you. Better than your family. Better than your God. That is the true danger.
The Wake-Up Call
The technocratic agenda failed once because people recognized the danger. The question is: will we recognize it again before it’s too late?
Because if we don’t, the future won’t be one of freedom and abundance. It will be one of compliance and control—engineered down to the last breath we take.
