Canada Gave Ukraine $20 Billion — Here’s What We Sacrificed at Home

Share This:

While Canadians face soaring rents, crumbling hospitals, and boil water advisories on First Nations reserves, Ottawa quietly wrote a $20 billion cheque… for Ukraine.

Let that sink in.

Twenty. Billion. Dollars.

  • Wiped out nearly all student debt in Canada.
  • Bought 400 water bombers to combat wildfires.
  • Built 40 brand new hospitals coast to coast.
  • Installed 10,000 MRI machines to finally reduce deadly wait times.
  • Created 80,000 long-term care beds for our aging population.
  • Funded four major Light Rail Transit systems in our biggest cities.
  • Delivered clean, safe drinking water to every reserve.
  • Outfitted 1 million homes with solar panels.
  • Ended homelessness in Canada for at least four years.

They tell us it’s for “democracy” and “freedom.” But what about our own people? What about our own crumbling democracy, our overrun cities, our broken healthcare, our poisoned water?

Ask yourself: Who does this government really work for?
